Federal Uniform Guidance Implementation at VCU

Uniform Guidance Implementation at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU)

2 CFR 200, Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards (“Uniform Guidance”) became effective December 26, 2014 for all federal agencies and applies to federal award recipient organizations including institutions of higher education, non-profit organizations, state and local governments, Indian Tribes and hospitals.

VCU has prepared for this change to federal guidance over the course of 2014 through evaluation and discussion coordinated by the Offices of Sponsored Programs and Grants & Contracts Accounting with input from Committee on the Administration of Research (CAR) stakeholders. This webpage provides information and updates on the Uniform Guidance implementation both at the federal agency level as well as here at VCU.
