Boilerplate Language

For many grant applications, standard language about the university environment, research capacity, and resources will be required. However, to make your proposal competitive, this language should be relevant – it should be tailored, as much as possible, the funding opportunity and the project being proposed.

The Office of Research and Innovation will provide boilerplate language for your grant proposals. Complete and submit the form below no less than 3 weeks prior to your application submission deadline. Late requests may not be filled. Contact Melissa Throckmorton at for additional information and assistance.

*This value is required.

Describe the language needed in the categories below as it pertains to your proposed project. Please be as specific as possible.

Note that links to Existing Boilerplate Language appear at the bottom of this webpage.
