First, create an account on the clusters. Our team will review your request and grant you access. Once you have an account, you will be able to access the clusters and submit jobs. Please review the athena cluster information and apollo cluster information to understand how to run jobs on the clusters. These include recommendations on best practices and mistakes to avoid. You can access the athena dashboard monitor and apollo dashboard monitor to see the real time status of the clusters in the HPRC.
Create an account
To create an account on the clusters, submit the HPRC account creation form. We will contact you at the email address you provided.
Access the clusters
If you are off-campus or on certain on-campus networks, you may be required to install and use the VCU VPN client before using your ssh client.
Access to the servers is through the Secure Shell (SSH) and Secure File Transfer (SFTP). We recommend Filezilla for SFTP transfers. With an SSH client, please connect to your account on the cluster using your VCU eID and password.
All computation on Athena and Apollo should be submitted via Slurm.
