John Ryan biography

John Ryan, Ph.D., completed a doctorate in immunology at VCU and postdoctoral training at the NIH/NIAID. He is a professor in VCU’s biology department and his laboratory investigates inflammation associated with allergic diseases such as asthma and has been continuously funded by the NIH since 1999. His OVPRI division serves VCU researchers by assisting with grant preparation and operating the faculty Grant Writing Academy, among other duties. The units of Postdoctoral Services, Research-related Institutes and Centers, Research Infrastructure, and the Mid-Atlantic Twins Registry also report to this office.
